Customer Review: Review by: Connor, George, Alfie, Maison, 03 April 2009 ’This is a bright colourful book that tells us all about the history of cars, oil and BIG trucks. It’’s definitely one for boys. "Power is one of the most exciting words in the English language. It also make our cars go fast. It is better than sitting in the Houses of Parliament arguing about the price of eggs!. I think that part was funny. The most interesting fact I read in the book was that in 10,000BC people travelled by muscle power. We had no idea that oil could be turned into so many different fuels. No wonder the author calls it "Black Gold". It is quite good when you get to the part about the Liebherr T282 which is the biggest truck in the world, the empty vehicle weight is 210 tonnes also it cost ? million. It’’s as high as 5 men and there are pictures to prove it. We liked pages 40 and 41 because it tells you how quick different things can get around the world. Check out page 53 and 54 you will love it. You will love the whole book, trust us we’’re boys! ’ |
